Heather Van Vleet represents clients in a variety of legal matters, including civil rights violations, nursing home negligence, motor vehicle collisions, sex abuse, premise liability, product liability, and medical malpractice. Heather is a litigation attorney who strongly advocates for her clients both in and out of the court room. Heather strives to ensure clients feel informed and empowered through all steps of her representation. Heather has tried numerous cases to verdict, successfully briefed and argued countless motions and appeals, and negotiated favorable resolutions for innumerable clients during her career.
Prior to joining HME, Heather earned her law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law, and B.S.B.A. with a Business and Law major and Accounting minor from the University of Tulsa through its accelerated pre-law scholars’ program. While earning her degrees, Heather was a member of the American Inns of Court, and was sworn in by Chief Justice Kane of the Oklahoma Supreme Court as a licensed legal intern. Heather used this license to provide strong and consistent advocacy involving a wide variety of areas of law. In her spare time, Heather used her license to volunteer at the Legal Aid Clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she provided free legal services to low-income households and senior citizens.
With being born and raised in Illinois, Heather is proud to serve and protect her community through her work. For Heather, practicing law is a chance to drive meaningful change in her community. By advocating for her client’s best interest, she knows her work leads to impactful policy reforms that creates positive social change across industries.
