Jay Kasperbauer, Associate Attorney

Jay Kasperbauer works on a variety of civil litigation matters. He earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where he gained practical experience in administrative agency, civil rights, immigration, employment, family, and mortgage foreclosure law through pro bono school clinics, fellowships at Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, a judicial externship, and law clerk positions, including Hart McLaughlin & Eldridge.

During law school, Jay was Submissions Editor for the DePaul Journal for Social Justice and also held a Rule 711 student law license which he used to oppose an administrative agency’s motion to dismiss before a Cook County Chancery Division judge. As fundraising co-chair for DePaul’s Public Interest Law Association, he helped raise $20,000 for law students working unpaid legal positions in Chicago.

Before returning to school to study law, Jay worked in operations and management for several years. He is an avid reader, painter, and outdoor enthusiast.
