Kimberly Chavez, Paralegal

Kimberly Chavez is responsible for assisting some of HME’s most active practice areas, supporting attorneys in complex cases involving Sex Abuse and Civil Rights. She conducts initial client intake calls, drafts reports, and creates production logs, streamlining investigative matters and facilitating compassionate communication with clients.

Kimberly graduated from the University of Chicago in June 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Law, Letters, and Society (specializing in Education) and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with Honors (specializing in Criminal Justice). During the 3rd year of her degree, she attended King’s College London as an exchange student. Prior to joining HME as a paralegal in April of 2026, Kimberly gained legal experience at the federal and state level, as well as with non-profit organizations.

Kimberly is originally from Los Angeles, California. While she is lucky to call Chicago her home, she remains a Los Angeles Dodgers fan. Nonetheless, she enjoys cheering on Chicago sports teams and exploring everything the city of Chicago has to offer, including restaurants, coffee shops, and the lakefront.
