Laura Milner represents clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including environmental & toxic tort, Medical Malpractice & Nursing Home, Premises Liability, automotive & trucking, and business litigation.

Before joining HME, Laura served as a public defender with the Lake County Office of the Public Defender, where she represented clients in both misdemeanor and felony matters. During her tenure, she gained extensive courtroom experience by trying numerous cases to verdict, arguing substantive and procedural motions, representing clients at bond and sentencing hearings, and consistently negotiating favorable plea agreements on their behalf.

At HME, Laura draws on this strong litigation foundation to advocate effectively for her civil-litigation clients. She has resolved numerous matters through mediation, achieving favorable settlements and positive outcomes for her clients. Laura approaches each case with analytical precision and an understanding that every client’s circumstances present unique challenges requiring a tailored strategy.
