Jennifer M. Cascio Associate

Jennifer is an experienced litigator with a nationwide practice. Jennifer was previously an attorney in a premier, national, product liability firm where she managed a litigation docket for a multi-billion-dollar Fortune 500 company and represented the company as national counsel. Jennifer has experience litigating individual and multi-party personal injury, wrongful death, property damage and commercial disputes nationwide. Jennifer has litigated hundreds of cases as lead counsel in both state and federal courts across the country. She prides herself on obtaining favorable results for clients by focusing on early case resolution and dispositive motion practice.

In the commercial context, Jennifer has litigated cases for consumer goods manufacturers, hospitals, sports arenas, restaurants, universities, and other entities in the hospitality sector. She has worked with clients on a daily basis to address pre-suit risk mitigationissues in litigation and in business operations to avoid future litigation. Jennifer has extensive experience enforcing contractual terms and conditions such as warranty disclaimers, subrogation waivers, exculpatory provisions, limitation-of-damages clauses, and limitations on the time to sue. Jennifer has also litigated cases involving tort and fraud claims premised on alleged breaches of contractual obligations. She has drafted and argued successful dispositive motions in both state and federal court.

During law school, Jennifer served as an editor on two law journals and also served as the Editor-In-Chief of the Law Review. She was held a prominent position on numerous national competition teams including the National Trial Advocacy Team, and she was inducted into the Order of the Barristers for her excellence in trial advocacy. Jennifer also served as a judicial intern to a former federal judge in the Western District of Missouri.

Jennifer has a longstanding commitment to giving back to her community. Beginning in high school, Jennifer served as a Big Sister in the Big Brother Big Sister program, a weekly volunteer at Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago, and a weekly volunteer at numerous homeless shelters. During college, she continued her community service as a volunteer in ESL programs at elementary schools on Milwaukee’s southside. She also volunteered at senior citizen centers and schools for impoverished children in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jennifer lives in Wilmette with her husband, David, and their daughter and son.
